About this game
Core Puzzle Mechanics
This cooperative platformer challenges players to guide three characters through levels set in a prehistoric world. Each character has unique properties that interact with the environment. The primary goal is to collect a set number of gems scattered across each stage while avoiding hazards like rising plants and moving obstacles. Success depends on timing jumps and using platforms, levers, and bridges to create safe paths. The game rewards careful observation and coordination rather than speed.
Character Roles and Teamwork
Players control Flame Lad, Aqua Girl, and a green character. In two-player mode, one person handles Flame Lad while the other manages Aqua Girl. Three-player mode adds a third player for the green character. Each character must work together to overcome obstacles that block progress. For instance, one character may need to press a lever while another crosses a bridge. This design encourages constant communication and planning among players.
Level Design and Obstacles
Each level presents a unique arrangement of platforms, pits, and hazards. Dinosaurs roam certain areas, requiring careful timing to avoid them. Other dangers include rising plants that block paths and shooting balls that move across the screen. Players must also watch for environmental elements like fire and water, which affect characters differently. The layout encourages exploration to find all gems before reaching the exit.
Multiplayer Modes and Flexibility
The game supports solo play where one person controls all characters, as well as cooperative modes for two or three players. This flexibility allows families and friends to enjoy the game together, with each player taking responsibility for one character. The cooperative focus means that no single player can complete a level alone; all characters must reach the exit. This design promotes shared problem-solving and makes the game accessible to players of different skill levels.
Progression and Replay Value
Levels become progressively more complex, introducing new obstacle combinations that require refined coordination. Collecting all gems in a level provides a sense of completion and encourages replay to improve performance. The game does not include a timer, so players can take their time to plan moves. This relaxed pace makes it suitable for younger players while still offering enough challenge for older ones.
